Where Science & Business Meet

Penn Biotech Group (PBG) is a cross-disciplinary student run organization at the University of Pennsylvania. We focus on addressing the challenges and obstacles facing the biotechnology industry today.  To this end, we provide our members with education, real-world experience and networking opportunities to enrich their exposure within the biotechnology arena.

Our Mission

1. •Promote education and awareness regarding the many aspects of biotechnology, including science, business, law, and medicine
   

2. •Provide students with real world consulting, entrepreneurship, and investing experience in life science industry
   

3. •Help members develop strong leadership and teamwork skills, and improve business knowledge
   

4. •Build life science network within Penn community and the Greater Philadelphia region
   

5. •Help members find jobs in life science industry 
   

PBG draws members and expertise from the larger life sciences community of Southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as graduate programs at Penn, including the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, The Wharton School of Business, the Law School and Medical School.

PBG connects students with the Life Science and Healthcare businesses through its 6 main divisions: Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Investment & Finance, Intellectual Property & Policy, Communications, and Careers. Each division offers client projects, competitions, seminars, workshops and networking events.
